They want the ones who robbed the bank not the guy who played taxi driver for them. Add more to the crime - something to make it stand out as a top priority, not just another bank robbery. Or maybe make it a really large bank company, or one of multiple robberies in the past month. Perhaps give the uncle a larger criminal record or possibly something else happened at the robbery.
