Hungry Jon

Jon had never eaten anything off of the teacher's desk before. He ate anything and everything, including metal. People loved to watch him eat ridiculous things such as paper, phones, and even bags. One bland Tuesday morning, the teacher said she was going home to take care of her sick daughter and that a sub wasn't going to come so she expected the children to behave. When the door closed behind her, Jon went over to the desk, carefully thinking of what to eat. "Eat the teacher's grade book!" one kid yelled. "No, eat the stapler!" another shouted. The class joined the second kid, urging Jon to eat the stapler. He picked it up and put the stapler in his cartoonishly wide mouth. As he gulped, he heard a click. The stapler had gone off in his throat. He started choking and began throwing up blood violently. "I wish I hadn't eaten that stapler," Jon said. He collapsed onto the floor and died.
