Turtle Race
It's the year of the turtle and every year at this time they have the turtle races. The turtle races are held at Hampton Beach. Each person thats in the race brings their own turtle to race. The winner of the race wins a vacation to the Bahamas. Each year that the race is held the prize is always different. The turtles line up on the sand to begin the race, the man yells follow the water and their off.

This is less of a story and more of facts being given. What do you want your story to be about? Is your turtle racing? Do you think it will win or will it lose because it gets lost swimming the wrong way nstead? Who are the characters and why are they imoportant? Build off of a story first, and then continue because as of now, I really am only reading facts that are short, sweet and to the point. There is little room for me to use my imagination but if you can come up with a great way to catch the readers attention, go for it. (:
ReplyDeleteIt's a bit short for a post but I think that could add what they would get for a prize if they came in second place in the race. You could also add some competitive behavior to some of the participants. Or you could go out there and give the turtles dialogue and personalities. Maybe the losers could get consolation prizes?
