A Shakespearian Sonnet

The creature calmly strode into the room
His brown hair standing, blue eyes flashing 'round
A room that was quiet as a tomb
In there, even crickets made no sound

He hunkers 'round the room with lethal eyes
Always making sure to close the door
To muffle the sounds of his victims' cries
May their shouts ring out forevermore

One day I know a hero will come here
Someday the hero will destroy the beast
You may ask why I do naught but cheer
I could slay it myself, at the very least

But I say, it's hard to slay the creature
When he happens to be your teacher

  1. Vivid word choice. Kept my interest throughout it, and seems to be well thought out!
