Forget the Past, Live in the Future of Romance

There's a story still left un-told,
while you give me your bare hand to hold.
Your eyes shimmer in the presence of light,
when your cheeks are a shade of rose that's full of delight.
You never told me you were a great kisser,
when you leaned in to tell me something in a whisper.
Maybe I can ease your troubled mind,
but you need to let me leave what I left behind.

  1. This was really cute! I liked it a lot. A little bit of scenery could have added more feeling, I suppose. For example, is his/her cheeks red from kissing, or from cool fall weather? The last few lines were mysterious, but I really want to know what was left behind.
