Oh Vinnie ~ Does Vinnie seem like a typical teen?

Vincenzo: I KNOW! I’M ALREADY UP MA!

Mom: Don’t give me that attitude Vinnie! It’s not a good morning for any of us, ok?

Vincenzo: *Whispers* Yea whatever you say ma…
SOUND: CARS HONKING AND DRIVING BY. TIRES SCREECHING.

Vincenzo: Mom! Did you hear that?!

Mom: Hear what? What are you talking about Vinnie!

Vincenzo: It sounded like there was an accident outside the house!
(Looks out his window. Only sees kids waiting at their bus stops.)

Vincenzo: Hmm… That’s strange I could’ve sworn I heard an accident.
SOUND: SIRENS. (AMBULANCE, COPS, FIRE TRUCKS.)
Vincenzo: MOM! There’s gotta be something happening around here! I just heard the damn sirens!

Mom: Vinnie! There IS nothing going on. I swear. Don’t you think if there was that we’d already be outside by now?

(Vincenzo is coming down the stairs and he seems distraught. Turns his head fast towards the stairs window. He looks out it sketchily. Mom is looking at him like he lost his mind.)
Vincenzo: Why are you giving me that look?

Mom: Because you’re acting like a mad man this morning. Did you get enough sleep last night? You look like a raccoon with those bags under your eyes.

Vincenzo: *Rolls eyes* Ma you know I don’t sleep well when it’s too hot out. But no I got about an hour of sleep before you decided to wake me up.

Mom: Well excuse me… I’m so sorry I thought it was actually nice out last night and assumed you’d be able to fall asleep. Especially after your football game last night. Do you just want to stay home today? I want you to get some sleep & rest.
SOUND: PEOPLE SCREAMING.

  1. Vinnie sounds like he has insomnia and for some reason he hears riots. Did something happen in his life that had a tramatic effect on him?
