Descriptive Paragraphs

As you walk into the room, the orange cabinets and pinkish doors automatically bring your mind back to Dunkin Donuts, filling your body with ease. You look at the quotes on the wall, and you can almost hear the authors speaking their words of wisdom to you. Once you experience the rolling chairs at least once, you realize they can be used as cars. After test-driving your chair over to a computer, you bring up the Internet, which contains endless possibilities with aspiring students like yourself.


Does this give you a sense of excitement? It was supposed to show the room in a positive light.


The old dictionary lies unopened upon the desk. The duct tape holding it together brings back old memories. All day long, it endures the rough life of being handled by teenagers. The dots covering the yellow pages could each represent something has happened throughout the course of its life. The black smudges on the cover resemble scars. It's inability to close completely reminds the reader that it's been through quite a bit and is still trekking on to help those in need.


Sense of adventure?


As the booming voice comes down upon you, you begin to tremble. Everything is due this Friday!? Shut up, that's just cruel and unusual. Come on, Greene. Rob walks over to you with such a swagger, you can do nothing but cower behind the computer monitors. All one can do is hope to avoid the devilish glare of those blue eyes.


Does this portray Greene as fierce or intimidating?
