Amy and Alex Ending

This is the end of a script I wrote. I can't decide if I should shorten it, or keep it how it is. Any input would be appreciated.

Alex found the address and called the police. They told him again to stay put and he was about to say he will when he heard Amy scream. He quickly hung up the phone and ran towards the house. He burst through the front door and found Amy lying on the floor and no one else in sight. Alex ran to her, not caring who or what was waiting for him in the room.

ALEX
Amy! Come on Amy! Wake up!

AMY
(mumbling.)
Alex...?

ALEX
Shhh...your OK now.

He looked at Amy's face and saw it was covered in blood and was still bleeding pretty bad. Alex took off his white t-shirt and held it to Amy's nose where the blood seemed to be coming from. That was when Alex heard footsteps coming down the hall. There was no where in the room to hide, only a small coffee table and dusty chair in the corner. He picked up Amy and headed for the door. He was about to open it when he heard laughing behind him.

STRANGER
See this Matt? Kids trying to take his girl back. How sweet. Too bad they won't be leaving this house.

MATT

Shut up John. Why don't you two come back into the other room. I think we have a few things to talk about.

ALEX
No. The cops are on their way. Amy and I are leaving and you're going to jail.

JOHN
I don't think so little boy.

As Matt says this, they hear sirens blaring in the distance. The police are almost there. This is his chance. Alex is out of the house and running as best he can while carrying Amy because she seems to be going in and out of consciousness, trying to get as far away from the building as he could. That was when Matt and John went back inside and grabbed their guns. They both come out with automatic weapons. They aim them at Alex and Amy but are soon surrounded by every cop in the city.

POLICE
Drop your weapons and put your hands up!

Alex continued to the end of the driveway where the police were waiting and gave Amy to the paramedics. Alex jumped in the back of the Ambulance even after he was told not to. They drive to the nearest hospital and bring Amy in. Alex is ushered into the waiting room. He waits and waits and is finally allowed to see Amy. The doctors say she has a minor concussion and broken nose but will be fine. Alex walks into the room and sees Amy waiting for him.

ALEX
Hey.

AMY
(smiling.)
Hey back.
