Monologue

This is my monologue for class that we were working on.

What is the need for snow? I mean, who even likes snow? Besides those crazy people who like to roll around in it, and get all wet and freezing. All snow does is make everyone’s lives more difficult. It sticks to your car window, so you are forced to spend 10 minutes out there scraping your windows in the freezing cold, which makes people late for work. Then whenever parents wake up and see that it’s snowing outside they groan, and have to shovel out the driveway so they can leave. Kids are happy they have a snow day until they realize it’s below freezing outside, and they have to stay an extra day in the summer for school anyway. Oh and then parents have to try to find babysitters for their kids when they have a snow day, which is of course difficult because everyone wants to sleep in, and do nothing all day. So then the parents have to work their schedules around the snow, and drive 5 miles an hour behind a stupid snow plow that could probably move faster if it wanted to, but does it just to bug you. Then you get to come home after work to kids in soaking wet clothes, which is a hassle to get them out of. I mean, is there a reason for snow? It kills all the flowers and beautiful things in the yard it took you months to grow. Then the dog runs out there and starts eating it like it tastes like cupcakes or something. Whoever the crazy people are who actually enjoy snow should get all of it dumped onto their yard and house, and see how they like it then.
